Opening Ceremony of “Japan Fair” organized by the Japanese Association in Cambodia
(Saturday, December 18, 17:00 at AEON MALL 1)
Hello (Good evening?), everyone. Hello everyone. Thank you very much for participating in the Japan Fair organized by the Japanese Association in Cambodia today.
This “Japan Fair” is held with the cooperation of many Japanese people in order to cheer up the Japanese community affected by the spread of the new coronavirus infection. The event is not limited to the offline event at AEON, which will be held today and tomorrow, but is also planned to include various online activities to help prevent infection.
We hope that this series of events, in which many Japanese people who are suffering from COVID disease will cooperate with us in the With COVID, New Normal model of living recommended by the Cambodian government, will help blow away the hardships we have been experiencing. At the same time, I hope that these events will provide an opportunity for many Cambodians to learn about Japanese culture and food, and promote exchange.
I would like to introduce some of today’s events. The Japanese Association is preparing a booth to sell yukata, a traditional Japanese costume. We will also provide support for dressing up. With the support of a kimono company, the price is only $10, so you can enjoy the Japan Fair in yukata, take a commemorative photo under the Torii gate, or eat fresh tuna directly from Japan. We hope you will consider this way of enjoying the fair.
In closing, I would like to thank all of you for your cooperation in organizing the Japan Fair, and I wish you all a wonderful year in 2022, a year in which we can overcome COVID.
